You might have noticed some changes on this blog in the past few days. I really liked the look of the last version but was forced to change because of incompatibility with the new version of WordPress. I found this simple, clean looking template that suits my needs fairly well. It’s a bit boring at the moment but I am trying to insert my own header. I’ve made one but I can’t get it to work at the moment. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated ! Anyway, I’m playing around with it all at the moment and discovering some new plugins to improve the “This Is Not My Country” experience.
One of them, is “Community News”. I’ve put it in the right-hand sidebar and you can add your own news. Feel free to post any kind of articles, preferably linked in some way to Greece. Anything that you think that readers of this blog might like to know about. It’s your space (although it will be moderated). Please feel free to use it to promote your own posts on Human Rights Issues in Greece too. I would appreciate it if you didn’t just use it to promote yourself, if you know what I mean. I think that that would take away from the focus of this blog. Other than that, submit away. I look forward to your discoveries.
I also received this cool award from Problem Chylde. Thank you Sylvia/M. It is very, very much appreciated. I’ve passed on a few awards in the past and all my favorite bloggers are still my favorites (I know many of you have this award already!) but I’ve decided to focus on bloggers here in Greece this time.
Teacher Dude: Outstanding photography and real citizen journalism
My Big Fat Greek Experiment: Making sense of life with humour and intelligence.
Flubberwinkle: Great writing and insights into Greek life.
Emily and Phoebe: My favorite “family” blog. The exploits of E and P regularly have me in stitches.
Abravanel: Tackling anti-semitism here in Greece. Not an easy task.
Display your award and pass it on to as many bloggers as you like.
